Showcasing innovation and collaboration at EUCAD 2024

EUCAD Symposium 2024, organised by the FAME project with the strong support of the European Commission Directorate General for Research & Innovation (RTD) and the CCAM Partnership, took place last week in Dublin. The conference was celebrated alongside the Transport Research Arena (TRA) Conference, also held in the Irish capital, attracting many public representatives and industry experts.

Bartolomeo Silvestri (POLIBA) attended the symposium to represent the IN2CCAM project, liaise with other EU projects and engage in the discussion on the future of CCAM in Europe. IN2CCAM was one of the projects featured at the ‘CCAM projects poster exhibition and networking reception’, exchanging lessons learned for the integration of novel CCAM services and technologies and their integration into traffic management, fostering cooperation with European and international peers.

This year’s discussions revolved around enhancing Europe’s roads for CCAM, connectivity, and green transport, best practices for evaluating CCAM’s societal impact through data sharing and common methodologies and the vital role of remote management for CCAM services, exploring challenges and real-world experiences from industry experts.

EUCAD is an event of high importance for the project, as it brings together key stakeholders to shape the future of Connected, cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM) in Europe and beyond, addressing specific challenges. The 4th European Conference on Connected and Automated Driving (EUCAD 2023) was the scenario in which the project made its public debut.
