IN2CCAM seeks to become a benchmark project in the implementation of innovative CCAM services and technologies for seamless traffic management. The project will be presented at the EUCAD conference, a leading event for CCAM in Europe, to create synergies with sister projects and actively participate in discussions on the future of CCAM in Europe.

Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM) aligns with and can help achieve several EU policy goals, including the EU Green Deal, the European Data Strategy, the Sustainable Smart & Mobility Strategy and the EU Missions. Under the purpose of enhancing interconnectivity and cooperation of automated mobility, the European Commission created the CCAM Partnership. The partnership gathers key stakeholders to support the Horizon Europe Framework to establish strategic calls for European projects that deploy CCAM-related technologies and services to make European roads safer, enhance accessibility and reduce transport’s environmental impact.  

IN2CCAM is a collaborative research project that aims at reshaping mobility by accelerating CCAM technologies and services for seamless traffic management across Europe. Through six Living Labs located in Tampere, Trikala, Turin, Vigo, Bari and Quadrilatero, its 21 partners will develop optimal fleet and traffic management concepts and services for the seamless mobility of people and goods. The consortium will involve designing, testing, and implementing a structure that enhances interoperability. Advanced simulations and digital twin models will facilitate the creation of new traffic management strategies. To guarantee the sustainability of the results, cooperatives lines and new business models will be settled.  

IN2CCAM at EUCAD 

The 4th European Conference on Connected and Automated Driving (EUCAD 2023), taking place on the 3 and 4 May in Brussels, is the leading CCAM event. Co-organised by the European Commission, the CCAM Partnership and the FAME project, EUCAD will hold high-level discussions to define the next steps for digitalised, green, affordable, user-oriented and inclusive. 

Maria Pia Fanti, our project coordinator from POLIBA, will participate in the session about ‘Progressing towards CCAM-hosting and enabling infrastructures’, putting on the table some of the technologies based on artificial intelligence developed within the framework of the project.
